About SCOR Disaster Recovery

Established following the historic 2015 flood, the Disaster Recovery Division provides assistance to South Carolinians whose homes were damaged by a federally declared disaster by way of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grants - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR). To date, the Disaster Recovery Division has rebuilt or repaired more than 3,000 homes for citizens whose homes were damaged by the 2015 Flood, Hurricane Matthew in 2016 or Hurricane Florence in 2018. More information about each program, including progress reports and other HUD-required documentation, can be found by visiting the links to the right.
