SCOR announces CDBG Mitigation Steering Committee Meeting Results

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Office of Resilience’s (SCOR) Disaster Recovery Office (DRO) held its scheduled Community Development Block Grant-Mitigation Steering Committee meeting on Thursday, January 20, 2022.

The Steering Committee approved $19,775,474.00 in mitigation infrastructure grant funding for stormwater and drainage improvements to the following local governments:

Horry County $846,450.00
City of Florence $3,073,304.00
City of Dillon - Lucius Rd. $952,000.00
City of Dillon - Railroad Crossing $958,000.00
City of Dillon - Dargan St. $1,936,000.00
Dillon County $1,420,000.00
Town of Cheraw - Second St. $3,433,973.00
Town of Cheraw - Washington & RR $5,759,047.00
City of Isle of Palms $1,396,700.00

SCOR expects to open the third round of CDBG-Mitigation grant applications in late 2022 and will send an announcement prior to the application period opening. The Steering Committee approved $4,933,225.00 in mitigation buyout grant funding for the City of Bennettsville.
