SC Office of Resilience

The South Carolina Office of Resilience was established in September 2020 by SC Code §48-62-10. SCOR serves the state in three main ways:

  1. Housing recovery following a federally declared disaster
  2. Mitigation against future flood risks
  3. Resilience planning

Pursuant to FY2022-23 Proviso 117.21, the South Carolina Office of Resilience received no earmarked appropriations for disbursement. An earmarked appropriation is defined as any non-recurring appropriation to an Executive Branch agency or department that is not requested by the agency or department to which it is allocated or appropriated to and received by and is specifically identified in an annual appropriations act as a direct appropriation to, or is otherwise intended to be distributed or dispersed directly to, a non-profit organization, private entity, political subdivision of the State, or other external organization.
